Dual Screening

I don't know about you but I often tweet while I'm watching something on TV.

My wife wants to know why I keep looking at my phone.

But I think that's 'cause she still thinks of it primarily as a phone not a pocket sized computer.

Anyway it seems I'm not the only person doing what is now termed Dual Screening.

Google have recently published a terrific preso on this very topic.

It's well worth a look my friends.

Click here to take a peek and download it.

Yeah last night I sat in bed watching a show (XFactor) and using my laptop to vote on Facebook (first time ever doing both) - but I get the picture now and understand it that this is what people will be doing more often.

I am a graduate student studying Social Media Theory & Practice with @dr4ward at @NewhouseSU. I am subscribing Brand Dna blog since my research interest is related to branding. I think this analysis by Google regarding the multi-platform life style is really well done. I also know myself checking my smartphone repeatedly while sitting in front of desktop monitor. Even playing a video game, I check out my phone for text or Facebook updates. #NewhouseSM6
