Rocking books

This week's email from The Word magazine tipped me off to a very clever and quite lovely Flickr set.

It's basically classic albums re-imagined as Pelican books.

This one for Joy Division's debut is my favourite.

Suffice to say there's sure to be one that you'll love too.

Click here to go browse through the racks.

Not sure that 101 Damnations by Carter USM is a classic album. In fact I've never heard of it. Brilliant set of covers though!

The funniest interpretation is of the Underworld album 'dubnobasswithmyheadman'. Rewritten as 'Dub no bass, with my head, man!'.

Carter USM 101 Damnations is my favourite!! Of course Joy Division a close second.

And Mike Oldfield's QEII is an awful album, but as a second-hand penguin, it looks amazing :D
