60 minutes in 60 seconds

Like most of the audience, I sat bewildered during the presentation given by Bob Isherwood here in Melbourne yesterday.

He made a good point. And I've already quoted him 3 times today.

But as a presentation it really didn't work for me. That landmark ad for Apple by TBWA says in 60 seconds what it Bob took 60 minutes to say.

For the younger readers here's a recent remix.

I think Bob is a brilliant man but he lost the plot with that one.
Most working people would have felt they had better things to do. and given Bob's wealth of experience I think he could have given us so much more.
Maybe he has misunderstood his target market but the time vs takeaway points was to low a ratio

Hi Stan,

It sounds to me like you sat through nearly the same presentation Isherwood gave in Dubai last week:

It was the same one Tim. I'd already read the Campaign review before I went, so I knew what to expect.

Hi Stan, I also sat in that audience yesterday. I also saw Dr Bob speak in 2006 @ RMIT and he was awesome. I walked away feeling inspired and excited about all the possibilities and what we can do to help change the world (or at least our industry). I honestly don't know what to say about yesterday...I got more out of the Q&A at the very end. I would have left earlier if I could.

Just remember two letters....KK.....I can assure you they won't disappoint.

Cheers

Simon

Stan, I was also there ( I think we met :-)
despite of the geniality of the idea, the execution was a disaster,
Love his character, good bloke but he lost me after simpsons video and never got me back.
Geniously bad executed.
