I doubt fifties housewives used this below the waist as it's common knowledge, Stan, that the female orgasm wasn't invented until 1965. By the Beatles, I think. Or maybe it was just Ringo.

Ummmm, that's an understatement.

If I decode this "offer" correctly -- along the same lines as the rest of the ad -- I'm pretty sure "your friend" is an innuendo.
They should have gone with "Get two. It's twice as nice."

was talking to a client the other day about products that are being used in ways other than what the brand anticipated. my example was landrovers - hip-hoppers and the 'hood - which in turn led to the urban suv's we now know.
wish i'd seen this before that convo.
