Has Vespa changed its spots?

I wonder if the guys from Colenso in New Zealand who created this ad have ever ridden a Vespa?
No disrespect but they're really not that fast. Cool yes but far from fast.
In fact the top speed on the new GTS 300 is probably not much more than 130kms an hour.
So whilst the leopard idea might seem like a great way to highlight the fact that this is the fastest Vespa ever, it would be better suited to a Japanese two wheeler like a Suzuki or Kawasaki.
Well that's my opinon anyway. What do you think?

I actually like the ad - and 130km/h is really pretty quick for a scooter
1. The ad's message is not credible. The fact that this latest model of Vespa is the fastest they've ever made does not necessarily mean it's fast (by comparison to other 2- and 4-wheeled vehicles). Even if the thing goes 200 km/h, the audience isn't likely to believe the message.
2. I wouldn't show how my product could be used to kill an endangered species. But that's just me.
I blame the client and planners for this travesty. So much wrong here!
WHY would Vespa ever want to sell a speed story? No one on the planet will ever buy a Vespa based on speed... this stinks of a client who is trying their best to "shake things up" rather than build upon a trusted brand essence. The other new Vespa stuff with the measurements is a billion times better than this... and true to the brand!
I think the running over of any animal is in poor taste. It is just not necessary nor is it even remotely funny. In the end it damages what little credibility may have even been there regarding it being the fastest Vespa ever.
Surely some people by a Vespa because of its minimal impact on the environment? These people absolutely would not like the fact that a murdered animal has been used to promote the product.
Fail by that agency.
Isn't that a Cheetah? ;)
Call me thick, but I didn't get it. Actually, I still don't.
I like Vespas. Had one until recently. It was last seen as road-kill after an confrontation with a u-turning Nissan Patrol. Wasn't fast enough to escape.
