Playing with fire

The huge Catholic shindig Word Youth Day has seen Sydney swamped by christian kids.

Even the Pope is attending.

Local agency BWM has capitalised on this with a campaign for their favourite watering hole the Australian Youth Hotel.

The ads are guaranteed to cause a fuss and get people talking.

Or maybe that should be blaspheming and arguing?

The priests ad above is my favourite from the campaign.

Not surprisingly this campaign has disappeared from the high profile Oz ad site where I found it.

Could it be the creatives involved put it up without approval from agency management?

Who knows. My feeling is, I wonder if they'd have the balls to run an Islamic version? Doubt it.

I still love the priests ad though!

That's great. I've got the original picture saved in case you've lost it! I had it in my RSS feed.

There should be more of it. I am totally disgusted by the lack of Pope-based opportunistic advertising. In the seventies the Campaign Palaces of the world would have been all over the tour like a pedophile priest in a reform school for wayward boys.

This country has lost its guts, is way too politically correct and unfortunately backing it all we are coast-to-coast full of Labor nanny-state governments.
