Melbourne's best

It was Melbourne advertising's night of nights last night and what a night it was.

69 Categories covering advertising, design and creative craft.

109 awards handed out.

The much admired Schweppes Burst picked up a couple of gongs including the coveted ad of the year.

I felt like a proud father catching up with many of the RMIT kids I have mentored over the years, including James and Juzzy from DDB who nabbed a Bronze for their work on My Career.

Yours truly also walked off with a Bronze for the Origin GreenPower recycled mail pack.

I'm sure a list of winners and finalists will eventually be posted on the MADC website. Once the hangovers have eased of course.

a) Congrats on your award!
b) would the Juzzy you mention in the article be Justine Gaitz by any chance? She is the sister of my girlfriend and we were at a family dinner on Friday night when her mum recieved a message saywon. She was quite the proud mum.
c) is it worth joining MADC if i have little to no creative side, and dont intend to go into the creative side of the advertising industry?

Thanx Lauren.

Thanx to you too Simon. Yes my Juz is the same as your one. Her mum should be proud as she has a talented daughter.

No point in you joining MADC as it is a creative organisation.

Their events however are always worth attending. A regular visit to madc.com.au should be all you need really.

Next time you're going, make sure you bring me as a hanger on...:)
Well done, Stan. Both for the personal recognition and the success of the people you've mentored.
