The great Transit mystery

I do a lot of work on Ford, so I often get to see their ads from other parts of the world.

One of the nicest ones I've seen recently was an English TV spot for the Ford Transit. Very clever and charming to boot.

Sadly the same cannot be said for this Transit press ad from Spain.

I have absolutely no idea what this ad is about.

On the side of the van it says Grandma's Homemade Recipes.

The headline, or should that be tagline, is Ford Transit - Get Tough.

Try clicking the ad to enlarge and see if you can figure it out.

On the off chance you do, please leave your solution to the great Transit mystery in the comments.

God knows, but I would guess the small business with a Ford van has put the big one out of business by delivering to the area.

I have worked on Ford too...here's my two pence.

Grandma's homemade food - good but lame. And you must be a wimp to eat it...but if you own a Ford, you are man/tough enough to eat burgers even from such a run-down place.

Idiots.

Is Grandma, perhaps, brave by trying to sell her goods in a desolate, low-standards market?

Who knows. Do inscrutable narratives play well with the Spaniards?

Isn't is basically showing that grandma "got tough" on these food chains and decided to start working with the Fan van to deliver authentic homemade recipes to people. In turn, she puts the big commercial business out of business. A bit of insight into that whole "people sourcing authentic culinary experiences" trend.

The nod is that no one would expect a granny to be driving a Ford Van, so she must be a tough granny.

Pretty weak ad though.

Umm. Give up.

Even worse: Ford sponsors televised football in the UK. It has idents at the start and end of each ad break for Champions League games. They feature kids playing footy for 13 seconds and then show the slogan: "Ford - Follow Us" or something like that. It makes as much sense as this poster.

Well, it's pretty obvious. Someone at the agency decided that it was time to tap into social media to make this ad go viral. They have puposefully set out to upset you, Stan. It's a brilliant strategy. Really...

This is indecipherable.

Or it's a typo.

And actually, the headline should read 'Get stuffed'

What do you think?

PS. Catcher, your explanation is well rubbish
