I can't believe the amount of media coverage given to the announcement that 'w00t' is the word of the year.
Who bloody cares!
Why can't the eggheads who come up with this stuff put their brains to better use?
I know, how 'bout we get them to find replacements for what I consider to be three of the most unattractive yet overused used words of the year:

Device
User
Anyone got any other suggestions?

i'm pretty much over 'interactive' too.
what i find interesting about woot being the word of the year is that it is pretty much a written/read word only. nobody actually says the word - it's all just blogs, comments, text, etc.
i'm not sure that's why everyone else is going media nutty about it, but that's why i'd go nutty about it.
It's hard to choose just one, but I think I'll go with "conversation".
yeah i will second conversation. and user. i like those words but boy do they get used a lot
Interesting point Lauren. Makes me wonder if a word is really a word if no one has ever said it.
like the tree in the woods that never fell if nobody heard it fall?
