The arrival of YouTube has changed that.

My son and his buddies love nothing better than sharing stuff they've found on YouTube with each other.

It's great to see people coming together to spend time on the web.

Melbourne's Is Not Magazine have taken this a step further with their YouTube Tuesdays.

On the first Tuesday of the month a 'clip curator' presents a selection of their favourite YouTube moments on the big screen in a bar.

YouTube Tuesday has been running since last August, with crowds getting bigger and bigger every month.

Who knows. This could well become the modern day equivalent of the old college film society nights.

But with a few more beers, obviously.
